With the change of a season comes an excuse for new wardrobe additions. I am back home for summer and working full-time in the Savvy/Topshop department of Nordstrom. Being surrounded by clothes all day makes it difficult to not splurge all the time, so recently I did a bit of shopping. One major trend I noticed for summer is neutrals. I know neutrals can really be worn any time of year, but there is something extra sophisticated and chic about neutrals on tan skin or in the form of a flowy white dress. Alas, here are the pieces I picked up.
Free People Lacey Denim Shorts
I have had multiple pairs of the classic Free People dolphin hem shorts because they are some of the best denim shorts I’ve found in terms of length, fit, and look. The crochet trimmed ones have been on my mind for a while and I opted for the all black denim pair because they can be dressed up or down.
Wayf Blouson Midi Dress
This dress is so simple but chic (my friend says it’s very Kourtney Kardashian). It hits mid-calf and looks great with lots of jewelry, heeled sandals, and statement sunnies.
Topshop Miniskirt
This printed skirt makes neutrals more fun and versatile. I can wear it with little black tanks in the summer or add tights when it gets colder. Love it.
Topshop Moto Skinnies
I am slightly obsessed with Topshop jeans because they are so stretchy, easy to wear, and fit really well. I got a creme pair with a frayed hem and a classic black pair to switch it up from the blue jeans I always go for.
Ray-Ban Aviators
My eyes have been on some new Ray-Bans for a few months and I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for one of the mirrored pairs. I got the Bronze/Lilac Mirror and it gives a nice pop of color, especially on neutral outfits. They are so fun and I know I will get a lot of use out of them this summer.
